So… 7 years after receiving Patriarch Alexis’ blessing to build a chapel near MGIMO-University, the dream and plan of the school’s faculty came true. And on September 1st, 2012, the first service was held in the Church of the Noble Prince Alexander Nevsky near MGIMO.
The dream of a chapel. That's how the temporary Alexander Nevsky Chapel looked in May, 2013.
That's how it will look (hopefully), once the main church will be built there.
As I’ve mentioned in the second part of my post, lots of small things in the Alexander Nevsky chapel struck me as wondrous from the very beginning. A place to hang the coats and calm down your kids… the “voluntary donation” policy and the hot meals after Sunday Liturgy…
